This project casts a spotlight on the hidden mechanics of data collection and usage by institutions to categorize individuals and tailor consumer experiences, emphasizing how this personalization controls access to information. It explores the ambivalent nature of technology as both a convenience and a potential threat to freedom, highlighting Deleuze's concept of information flow being at the crux of current societal challenges.
Addressing the risks of filtered and biased information which can lead to misinformation and societal division, the project portrays a dystopian scenario of excessive personal data usage through the lens of a computer. It seeks to provoke critical thinking about the impact of personal data in the digital realm and its implications for individual autonomy.
